Cologne/Bonn, 13 November 2012 – “Welcome to our Open Day!” Last Thursday, a two-legged globe greeted visitors to the German National Library of Medicine – ZB MED Nutrition. Environment. Agriculture. in Bonn. Designed to represent the day’s motto of “Quo vadis, environment?”, the helpful globe showed people the way to the research workshops, poster exhibition and behind-the-scenes guided tours of the library. 

Experts from the ZB MED used the GREENPILOT search portal to show visitors how quick and efficient it can be to track down information and data related to the environment. There was also a great deal of interest in the behind-the-scenes tours of the library and its treasure chamber of centuries-old works which are normally not accessible to the public.
