Shaping the transformation of Open Access books together

Video interview on the position paper from the University Publishers Working Group with Prof. Dr. Ursula Arning

The OA transformation of journals has been underway for years, while that of books is only just beginning. In the position paper "Open Access Transformation for Books", the five experts Ursula Arning, Margo Bargheer, Isabella Meinecke, Dagmar Schobert and Regine Tobias - all active members of the University Presses Working Group - take a stand on current and future-oriented business models. The paper sheds light on the role of institutional publishers and publication services. Based on an inventory, the authors show current fields of action and scope for action for research institutions in the field of non-commercial infrastructures for OA books.

In the video interview, Ulrike Ostrzinski talks about the goals of the position paper with Prof. Dr. Ursula Arning. The head of the ZB MED Open Science programme area explains why the paper was created and lists the most important points.
