Publishing conference papers
Speedy publication of proceedings and papers from conferences, meetings and congresses helps boost communication and cooperation between scientists and researchers and makes people's research work more efficient. PUBLISSO supports this process by offering prompt open access publishing of abstracts, full texts and reports from scientific congresses and conferences.
Are you organising a conference in a medical field and looking to publish the papers under the open access model?
German Medical Science (GMS) publishes conference abstracts as well as other conference papers. ZB MED runs GMS in collaboration with the German Association of Scientific Medical Societies (AWMF). Since 2025 the GMS conference publications are part of the PUBLISSO platform.
Conferences from 2025 onwards can be found here. In the archive you will find the earlier GMS conference publications.
GMS guarantees the quality and availability of the publications over the long term. The publications will be licensed under a Creative Commons License Attribution 4.0 International CC BY 4.0 (creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/). Each conference is presented in its own separate part of the website and each individual contribution is provided with a citable bibliographic reference as well as persistent identifiers (DOI and URN). Furthermore, we offer to compile a complete file with all the contributions to be used e.g. to create a book of abstracts. If you are interested in publishing the contributions of your conference via GMS, please contact us (gms@zbmed.de) and provide the following data:
- Title, date and location of the conference
- Number of contributions expected
Are you planning to publish papers from a congress or conference in the fields of nutritional, environmental or agricultural science?
We are currently in the process of setting up this publishing service. Please contact us to find out more.
