ZB MED Continues Its Work in NFDI4Microbiota and NFDI4DataScience
The German federal and state governments will provide around €71 million in funding from October 2026 until the end of 2028 to support ten consortia of the National Research Data Infrastructure (NFDI). The funding decision is based on recommendations by the German Research Foundation (DFG).
Together with its partner institutions, ZB MED will continue to develop research data infrastructures within the NFDI4Microbiota and NFDI4DataScience consortia, helping to ensure that research data remain sustainably available, interoperable and reusable. In addition to these two consortia, ZB MED also contributes to NFDI4Health, which is already in its second funding phase, and FAIRagro. Furthermore, ZB MED is involved in Base4NFDI, where it helps develop core services for the entire National Research Data Infrastructure.
