German Science and Humanities Council certifies ZB MED and BIBI high dynamics and potential for the future

 Report confirms structural relevance and national importance

ZB MED - Information Centre for Life Sciences and the Bielefeld Institute for Bioinformatics Infrastructure (BIBI) underwent a multi-stage review last year. The goal: joint admission to the Leibniz Association and the associated funding from the federal and state governments. The German Science Council has now published its statement and the result of a review by a working group of experts. It attests to the successful reorientation of ZB MED and a very positive development with high dynamics in recent years. The cooperation between ZB MED and BIBI is assessed as meaningful and helpful for successful research. The final decision on admission to the Leibniz Association will be made by the Joint Science Conference in November 2022.
