Living Handbooks enable the flexible, chapter-by-chapter publication of handbooks, allowing content to be continuously expanded or updated. PUBLISSO provides a professional technical infrastructure for this purpose, assigns standardised metadata for optimal discoverability and indexing, and ensures the long-term availability of the content.

As part of the SeDOA project – Service Centre for Diamond Open Access, funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG) – PUBLISSO offers the opportunity to publish selected Living Handbooks free of charge.
