Invitation: IFLA ARL Webinar series - "Academic Library Services during COVID-19"

On 22 July 2020, members of the IFLA Academic and Research Libraries Standing Committee will be sharing institutional or national experiences of academic libraries since the beginning of the COVID 19 pandemic, starting at 3 pm. The Zoom webinar is free of charge and open to the public worldwide.

During the first half of 2020, academic libraries across the world have been addressing unprecedented challenges brought on by COVID-19. A large number of these libraries, due to national legislation or institutional decision, had to close their doors and offer virtual services. Academic libraries have been reinventing their services to meet the teaching, learning, and research needs.

Members of the IFLA Academic and Research Libraries Standing Committee will be sharing their institutional or national experiences during this COVID-19 period. These presentations, together with the anticipated rich discussion emanating from the participation by the audience, will be captured and shared. During this pandemic period, collaboration should be the norm. The webinar via Zoom is free and open to the public.

The presentation will feature an international panel of speakers. Prof. Dr. Ursula Arning from ZB MED - Information Centre for Life Sciences will participate in the webinar. She will present the ZB MED COVID-19 Hub and report on the activities of the institution.
