ZB MED's Cologne site closed for the whole day during defusing on 20 May 2025

An unexploded bomb from the Second World War has been found in the immediate vicinity of the university hospital campus in Cologne-Lindenthal, where ZB MED's Cologne site is located. The Explosive Ordnance Disposal Service (KBD) will defuse the five-tonne bomb on Tuesday, 20 May 2025. ZB MED's Cologne site will also be affected by the evacuation measures.
