PUBLISSO offers a range of publishing platforms for publishing work and research data Open Access and permanently – following the spirit of Open Science. All publications receive a Digital Object Identifier (DOI) and are archived for the long term.

PUBLISSO offers interested institutions of all disciplines an independent publication system - consisting of the open source software, which is thus available free of charge, as well as additional services such as software hosting and maintenance.

Articles in quality-assured life science journals can be published on the PUBLISSO publication platforms. PUBLISSO is open to new journal projects from the field of life sciences.

PUBLISSO offers societies or conference organisers the opportunity to publish their congress abstracts or other contributions from scientific conferences in the field of life sciences.

Living Handbooks

PUBLISSO - Platform Gold enables scientists in the life sciences to publish Living Handbooks. The "living" character of the handbooks allows authors to update their contributions at any time.

Series

On the PUBLISSO publishing platform, scientific societies from the life sciences can publish their series in a quality-controlled manner.

Since 2020 PUBLISSO publishes the MAK Collection, which is edited by the German Research Foundation.

Research data

Authors can publish research data in connection with their text publications, e. g. in PUBLISSO -Repository for Life Sciences.
Data and text publications are mutually referenced. A Digital Object Identifier (DOI) is assigned as a persistent identifier.

In the PUBLISSO – Repository Life Sciences, you can make your digital publications openly accessible as first and second publications.
Publications by institutions are presented as a coherent unit so that they can be used as an institutional repository. Long-term archiving is made possible via publication in the FRL.
